Stanford fire leaves couple without home
STANFORD, Ky. (WTVQ) – A fire early Thursday morning has left a Stanford couple without a home.
Firefighters say flames broke out at a house on Darst Street around 4:00 a.m.
Arriving units say that heavy smoke was coming from the house when they arrived, and that the fire picked up shortly thereafter.
According to responders, fighting the fire took a solid eight hours.
One firefighter suffered heat exhaustion, and was treated at the scene.
No one was in the home at the time of the fire.
Officials say the cause of the fire in under investigation.
