Staffing shortage causes Juniper Hill Aquatic Center concessions to close

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Due to a staffing shortage caused by COVID-19, the concession stand at the Juniper Hill Aquatic Center has closed indefinitely. The aquatic center will remain open at this time.

The announcement came from a post on the Frankfort Parks and Recreation Facebook page.

The post stated that guests will be provided with free bottled water and the Frankfort Plant Board will provide water for guests to refill reusable water bottles.

Also discussed were the safety precautions being taken at the aquatic center. Guests are encouraged to social distance, wash hands as much as possible and take any necessary safety precautions they feel necessary.

The aquatic center does not allow outside food or drink, but the post points out local restaurants and picnic areas in Juniper Hill Park. Guests can come and go from the aquatic center with a stamp given at admissions.

The Juniper Hill Aquatic Center will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
