St. Jude Dream House WINNER

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — The winner of the St Jude Dream House is Peggy Seithers, from Paris, Ky.

She said she was mowing her lawn when the announcement was broadcasted, and that it seemed like everyone she knew started calling her after the announcement, to tell her the happy news. 

Seithers had bought a ticket in the first week the fundraiser was opened, ticket number 870. 

She had toured the house earlier, and said "Somebody is going to love this! But I’ll never be lucky enough…"

Tickets ran out a half hour before the contest closed, raising over $700,000 to fund the treatment of children with cancer. This was a record for St Jude’s in Lexington, with more tickets sold and more money raised than any other TV station in Lexington, ever.

100% of these donations have been put toward ensuring the families of children with cancer do not have to pay a cent for the treatment, and the generosity of everyone who participated in this event is amazing.
