Special Olympics Teams Compete in Lexington
More than two dozen teams competed in the regional Special Olympics Sunday in Lexington.
All of the teams came to play flag football.
Organizers said the event means so much to the area and the athletes who are able to connect with old friends again.
Coordinators said it tool six weeks of planning to put the event together and that it wouldn’t have been possible without the volunteers.
