Special Olympics basketball camp to hold exhibition game Friday
VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ) – Special Olympics athletes have been brushing up on their basketball skills at a camp in Versailles this week out at WinStar Farm.
WinStar agreed to host the camp after Elisabeth Johnson, a mother with a special needs son found out there wasn’t a camp in the region, and decided to organize one.
Athletes have been drilling and scrimmaging throughout the camp.
An exhibition game will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at WinStar to close out the camp. The game is open to the public.
