Space Heater Sparks Early Morning Fire
A space heater caused an early-morning fire at a Lexington home on Wednesday.
The fire broke out after 1 a.m. on Elm Tree Lane.

The Lexington Fire Department said the space heater was placed too close to a shower curtain in the bathroom, sparking the fire.
A couple in the home woke up to the smell of smoke.
They got out safely.
Firefighters said the bathroom was the only part of the house damaged.
