Southbound I-65 reopens after wreck near Sonora cleared

SONORA, Ky. (AP) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says traffic is moving again on southbound Interstate 65 in LaRue County, several hours after a fatal crash shut down the roadway.

The closure was near mile point 77, just south of Sonora.

Cabinet spokesman Chris Jessie said in an email at 6:30 p.m. EST the scene was cleared. However, he said the backup caused by the delay was still dissipating and that it would take a little time for traffic to return to normal.
