South Laurel High School coach suspended amid investigation

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A South Laurel High School coach has been suspended amid allegations of inappropriate conduct, according to the school superintendent.

The coach’s name wasn’t made public or the allegations.

London Police would not comment on the investigation.

School Superintendent Doug Bennett released the following statement Friday:

“There has been an allegation of inappropriate conduct of an SLHS (South Laurel High School) coach.  The allegation was reported to local law enforcement and they are conducting an investigation.  We are conducting an administrative investigation as well.  The coach has been suspended from employment pending the results of the investigation.”
