Some UK student visas revoked by the Department of Homeland Security
LEXINGTON, KY. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Officials at the University of Kentucky say some student visas and/or status has been revoked for a small number of international graduate students by the Department of Homeland Security.
In an email by UK President Eli Capilouto on Friday, Capilouto says they’re working to understand changing federal policies impacting college campuses, and encourage international students to reach out to the International Student and Scholar Services, if they have immigration-related questions or concerns.
An F-1 visa, grants a student the ability to travel to the United States to study at a college or university.
The university says they will always comply with the law, and that international students are valued members of this special community.
