Some Area Jimmy John’s Restaurants Affected By Reported Security Breach
The company said that some of its customers’ data was stolen from 216 of its shops, from June to September.
The company said that it believed that someone had stolen log-in credentials and installed malware to swipe credit card information.
Jimmy John’s said that the affected Kentucky stores included Lexington at Palomar Centre, the Magnolia Drive store in Georgetown and the Somerset restaurant on Highway 27.
The company said that the credit and debit card information may have included the card number and in some cases, the cardholder’s name.
The chain apologized to customers on its website and said that it had taken steps to fix the problem.
