Somber 7th Anniversary Of Comair Crash In Lexington
It has been seven years since the Comair 5191 plane crash at Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport.
Forty-nine of the 50 people on board died in the crash on August 27, 2006.
The lone survivor was co-pilot Jim Polehinke.
The plane took off from the wrong runway on a pre-dawn flight bound for Atlanta, crashing immediately after takeoff.
A crash memorial now stands at the U.K. Arboretum.
