Solid Blue Fans in KC

KANSAS CITY, MO (WTVQ) – Friday is the big day for Solid Blue fans as Kentucky prepares to face off against Houston in the Sweet Sixteen.

Without star forward P.J. Washington; Kentucky’s offensive shoes became bigger to fill.

Bennie Tackett is a Solid Blue fan in Kansas City he explained how difficult it was to fill the offensive shoes of an All-American like that, especially for someone who has been a vital part of the offense, “It’s very important. I think with he and Reid they play off of each other, I think you’ll get rebounding and about fifteen points a game. It just seems to flow better when P.J.’s in the game so I think it’s really important we get him back, but I think we can still advance and continue without him.”

That’s the same optimism Solid Blue fans have had since the first and second rounds.

Tackett adds, “If we were to go to the Elite Eight, I think with Houston our inside players are big with Travis and P.J. I think it makes the fluidity of the offense moves smoother but I think we’ll be fine without him.”
