Soldiers returning to Fort Campbell from West Africa
FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) — Several hundred more soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division are returning to Fort Campbell.
The soldiers have been in West Africa providing humanitarian assistance in the fight against Ebola and have completed a 21-day period of controlled monitoring at Fort Bliss and Fort Hood, Texas.
The approximately 315 soldiers are from the 101st Sustainment Brigade and 86th Combat Support Hospital.
The post on the Kentucky-Tennessee border says ceremonies are being held for family, friends and fellow soldiers to welcome the returning soldiers home.
The last group in this redeployment is set to return Monday morning.
