Snow Blamed For Accident On I-75
Lexington fire and police crews had their work cut out for them following Monday’s morning snowfall, as a number of accidents were reported around the area.
One of them was reported close to the 107 mile marker on southbound I-75.
According to officials, around 10:30 a.m. a driver lost control and hit a median.
She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for minor injuries.
Lexington firefighter Kyle Branham said in snowy weather, wrecks become more common.
“I think a lot of it is people tend to travel at same speed they were prior to roads being slick. That reduces distance you are able to stop. Not giving extra room it will result in an accident,” said Branham.

First responders ask for drivers to maintain a safe speed with about twice the normal following distance between two cars.
