Smoke detectors get family out of burning home
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A smoke alarm helps a Lexington family get out of their burning home overnight.
It was just before 1 a.m. Monday when that alarm went off at the home in the 600-block of Patriot Court.
Two adults and two children got out.
The fire broke out near the garage of the home, destroying it.
Firefighters arrived almost immediately and put it out before it spread.
The family can stay in the home, according to firefighters.
A neighbor’s home did sustain some damage to a side panel.
