Small Town America Day in Mt. Sterling set for Saturday
MT. STERLING, Ky. (WTVQ) – An annual festival celebrating the town of Mt. Sterling returns this weekend.
The Small Town America Festival will look a bit different than years past. This Saturday, the community is invited to the downtown area to enjoy a number of free activities.
According to Mt. Sterling tourism officials, events will be spread out to allow for social distancing.
The festival will take place from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Arts Center will be open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. with the Gate City Arts Guild Exhibit as well as outdoor art activities.
Attendees can also checkout a farmers market, participate in a 5K or stop by the Sterling health fair. A kids area will also be setup, along with a storytelling stage and talent show. Car enthusiasts can checkout some fancy rides in the Lions Club Car Show from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a $15 entry fee. Shoppers can peruse a sidewalk sale by local merchants as well. Tourism officials encourage attendees to bring a chair or blanket for the Courthouse Lawn area and to practice social distancing and follow CDC guidelines. You can find more information HERE.
