Small earthquake in Shelby Co.

SHELBY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- According to the U.S. Geological survey a 2.4 magnitude earthquake was detected in Waddy which is right outside Shelbyville.

It happened at 5:23 Monday morning.

According to the USGS at least two people reported that they felt the minor quake.

Officials say earthquakes under a 2.5 on the richter scale are usually not felt.
