All six Winchester double murder suspects’ cases waived to grand jury
WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ)- All current suspects in a Winchester double murder are now moving on to a grand jury. The sixth suspect, Ronnie Ellis, passed on his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday.
All, but one, Julia Richardson, are accused of complicity to commit murder. Richardson faces tampering with evidence charges.
ABC 36 learned last week at her preliminary hearing the two victims, 16-year-olds Kayla Holland and Adrianna Castro, were caught in the crossfire of a parking lot gun fight earlier this month.
A Winchester detective testified Carmen admitted to firing shots at Ellis, Hill, and Skinner.
Carmen’s attorney argues his client was shooting in self-defense as the other three got out of a car and started firing after a fight earlier that day at a gas station.
