Six students escape injury when bus hit by car

Accident at intersection of Delaware and Henry Clay

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Six students escape injury when their school bus was struck by a car Monday afternoon.

It happened at about 4:45 at the intersection of Delaware and Henry Clay Boulevard.

According to police and firefighters at the scene and the Fayette County Public Schools, the bus was turning from Delaware onto Henry Clay when the westbound Toyota Camry crashed up under the left front end of the bus.

Witnesses said the bus had the green light. The bus driver, students and driver of the Toyota were not injured, according to the school district and police.
