Single-vehicle accident on I-75 causes Wednesday afternoon traffic backup

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A minimal traffic backup on I-75 southbound was due to a single-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Lexington Police Department, around 2 p.m. first responders went to the scene of the accident near mile marker 106 of I-75.

Two occupants were in the car. The driver lost control and went off the road. Weather is believed to be a factor.

There were no injuries and no one was transported from the scene.

The right lane of I-75 South was closed while crews were on the scene. It has since been reopened.
