Signal activation for Harrodsburg Road/US 68 in Fayette County

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled signal activation for Harrodsburg Road/US 68 in Lexington. The signal is located at the intersection with Harrodsburg Road/US 68 and the new Fountains at Palomar Commercial Development.

Harrodsburg Road/US 68 – intersection with the Fountains at Palomar

Thursday, May 27 – currently and until Tuesday, June 1 at 10 a.m.

• the new traffic signal will be on Flash mode at milepoint 1.5
• the signal will flash yellow for the mainline (Harrodsburg Road/US 68) and red for the side street (the Fountains at Palomar)
• this flash period will continue through the weekend
• the time period is to give motorists the opportunity to adjust to this new signal

Tuesday, June 1 – 10 a.m. (time is approximate)

• the signal will be fully activated

All work, and closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
