Shots fired reported on Versailles Road; man taken to hospital

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Police are investigating a shooting reported Tuesday evening along Versailles Road.

According to the Lexington Police Department, officers were called around 6:40 p.m. to the 1800 block of Versailles Road after reports of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot.

Police say the victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. No additional details about the circumstances of the shooting or a possible suspect have been released.

The investigation is ongoing, and police have not said whether anyone is in custody.
