Shots fired at home on Lisa Drive

(LEXINGTON, Ky.) – Lexington Police say several shots were fired at a home in the 500 block of Lisa Drive around 11 p.m.Thursday.

Neighbors told ABC 36 that they initially thought the noise was coming from the sound of fireworks. They say it wasn’t until  police were patrolling their street that they learned it was something far more serious.

Investigators say suspects fired three rounds at the home. One bullet went through the front window, through a wall and landed inside a cabinet.

Police say there were three adults in the house at the time of the shooting, but they were not injured.

Authorities say the people living there told police they have no idea why anyone would target their house.

According to investigators, the residents believe they saw a dark sedan leaving the area after the shots were fired. Police say they have very little information at the moment, but the shooting remains under investigation.
