Shoppers take advantage of Black Friday sales at Fayette Mall

LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ)- Retail stores are getting a big boost on this Black Friday as thousands of shoppers have been cashing in on some deals at the Fayette Mall.

Rabiya Syed is the he marketing director at the mall. She says Black Friday sales have been trending upwards compared to previous years.

Syed says shoppers can expect to get some of the best deals this weekend.

“This has been so fun. It’s so nice to see our community gathering here today. We’ve seen everything from matching festive onesies, to people who just have been coming here for years and years,” says Syed.

Also, just in time for the shoppers, Santa Clause has been making an appearance at the mall, taking pictures. We spoke with shoppers about their Black Friday experience.

“I’m looking for all the good deals. Low prices, we’ve found a lot of stuff. Shopping for family,” says shopper Talyn Washington. “This is the biggest crowd I’ve seen since living here for the past three years, I’ve never seen this many people out. So I think the deals have gotten even better.”

Fayette Mall is expecting to extend hours this holiday season.
