‘Shop with a Trooper’ Brings Brighter Christmas to Local Kids

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – On Tuesday, Kentucky State Police from Post 11 in London took some time to patrol the aisles of the Somerset Walmart, in search of toys and presents for children.

The shopping excursion was part of their “Shop-With-A-Trooper” program.  The program, which operates solely on donations, aims to bring a better Christmas to local children, who might otherwise not have much under the tree this holiday.

A press release from KSP says that 22 children, chosen from the 7 different counties Post 11 serves, participated in the event.

Kentucky State Police Posts across the state hold events like this each year to help those less fortunate.
