“Shop with a Cop” kicked off Saturday in Laurel Co.
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) — Several first responders in Laurel County were out doing good for the community Saturday.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office took part in the Cumberland Valley Fraternal Order of Police’s 23rd annual “Shop with a Cop” program.
The sheriff and 30 others met up with almost 250 kids to shop for Christmas toys at the London Walmart.
Even the office’s K9, Edge, was there.
Each child received $100 to spend on clothes and toys.
The sheriff’s office says this year the program served more kids than ever before.
