Woman killed in Lincoln County shooting

HUSTONVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman was shot in her home Monday night in Lincoln County, according to State Police.

It happened right off of US 127 on Raintree Drive, north of Hustonville.

Police say troopers tried to perform CPR on the woman and she was transported to Ephraim-McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, where she later died.

Police also say they took a suspect into custody on the scene.

According to police, the woman’s children were home at the time of the shooting.
