Man faces assault and drug charges in domestic violence case

FLAT LICK, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Flat Lick man, who was wanted on half a dozen warrants in Knox County, faces assault and drug charges in a domestic violence case, according to investigators.

Deputies say the initial report was 54-year old Chuck Bingham had stabbed a woman during a domestic dispute on Waco Drive in Bimble on November 28, 2019.

Deputies say when they arrived at the home and made contact with the reported victim, the woman told them she had not been stabbed, but that there had been a fight.

Investigators say they found Bingham in the home hiding behind a bedroom door, and that he had to be physically subdued after refusing to follow commands.

Deputies say they found a small plastic bag with suspected meth inside on Bingham when they arrested him.

He was taken to jail in Knox County.
