Sheriff: Woman steals car in Winchester, leading to multi-county chase

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman is arrested after deputies say she led them on a high-speed chase through multiple counties Wednesday.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says it got a call from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, asking to help in the pursuit of 22-year-old Rose M. Crim, of Winchester.

Deputies say Crim stole a Chevy trailblazer from a McDonald’s parking lot in Winchester then took off onto I-64.

During the chase, deputies say Crim tried to run them off the road by swerving from lane to lane. They say Crim did sideswipe a vehicle when she got off I-64 at the Morehead exit. It was then that deputies say they were able to box Crim in at the Carter-Rowan county line and arrest her.

Authorities say there were no injuries.

Crim faces several charges, including wanton endangerment and driving under the influence.
