UPDATE: Suspect wanted for shooting man in face turns self in
UPDATE: (6/6/18, 12:03 p.m.) — The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says Robert T. Smith turned himself into authorities just after 11 a.m. Friday.
There is no word yet on charges.
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man accused of shooting another man in the face.
Deputies say they received a call from St. Joseph hospital about a man who showed up suffering from a gunshot wound to the face around 12:31 a.m. Friday.
The deputies learned the man was shot during a disagreement with another man at a home off Blackwater Church Road.
The suspect is identified as 26-year-old Robert T. Smith, of London.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s office says he is wanted for attempted murder.
The sheriff says Smith may possibly be armed with a small caliber pistol.
