Sheriff: Somerset Man Connected To Multiple Burglaries
A burglary investigation has landed a man in jail in Pulaski County.
The Sheriff’s Office says on January 23rd someone forced a door open at a home on Parkers Mill Road and took a part of a knife collection, but ran away after setting off the burglar alarm.
They say three days later the same person forced open a door at a home on Highway 471, but was confronted by a neighbor and ran away without taking anything.
The Pulaski County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging 42-year-old James Lopez with both crimes.
He’s in jail on a $30,000 bond.
The Sheriff’s Office says they’re still trying to determine whether or not Lopez has been involved in other burglaries.
