Sheriff: Man gets fractured skull after fight with girlfriend

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says it arrested two people after a man was robbed and his skull fractured.

The man and his live-in girlfriend, 33-year-old Amber Fields, got into a fight on Wednesday night at a home off E.B. Gross Road near London, according to deputies, and she called other people to the home.

They say the man was struck with a metal pipe, causing a skull fracture, and his hands were bound with tape.

His wallet, containing cash and a debit card, was taken along with a cell phone.

The victim was able to make his way to a neighbor’s house and call 911.

Deputies arrested Fields and 25-year-old Robert Maddox and charged them with assault and robbery. Maddox was also charged with unlawful imprisonment and leaving the scene of an accident.

The investigation is continuing.
