Sheriff: Frankfort man was trafficking heroin from motel

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says a Frankfort man was trafficking heroin out of a motel.

It says 31-year-old James Travis Mattingly had 5.9 grams of crack cocaine when he was arrested at the University Lodge on East Main Street in Frankfort. According to investigators, deputies found the drugs in a room at the motel.

The sheriff’s office says Mattingly is charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance, First Degree, Over 4 Grams of Cocaine. It says Mattingly also had an outstanding warrant for contempt of court.
