Sheriff: 2 break into dead father’s home during his funeral

BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two women are accused of breaking into the home of their dead father while other family members were attending his funeral.

The Bell County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to home on Balkan Road Thursday to a report of a burglary.

Deputies noticed a trail behind the home, followed it and say they found George Johnson, Mary Johnson and Dolly Brock.

They say George Johnson refused to show his hands, then tried grabbing a crowbar that was nearby, forcing deputies to use pepper spray on him.

All three were taken into custody.

According to the sheriff, Mary Johnson and Dolly Brock are daughters of the deceased man, who died Monday.

George Johnson is the husband of Mary Johnson.

Mary Johnson and Dolly Brock are charged with criminal trespassing.

George Johnson is charged with menacing, resisting arrest, criminal trespassing.
