Shaker Village offers free admission to federal employees
HARRODSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – In response to the federal government shutdown, Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill will be offering free admission to the landmark destination for furloughed families.
Federal employees who present a photo ID or badge will be given complimentary access along with their immediate family members for the duration of the government shutdown.
Typically, admission fees range from $7-$14 depending on age and can be purchased at the Welcome Center. Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill offers a wide variety of daily adventures, self-guided and staff-led tours, talks, demonstrations, exhibitions, hands-on activities and more throughout The Historic Centre, The Farm and The Preserve. The Trustees’ Table gives guests the option to dine on traditional Shaker favorites and seasonal Kentucky dishes prepared with straight-from-the-garden ingredients, as well as crafted cocktails.
