Sexual assault reported on UK campus
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The University of Kentucky Police Department is investigating a reported sexual assault on campus.
The department says the assault took place in the early evening hours of Saturday, December 7 inside a residence hall on campus.
Police say the victim knew the suspect.
There have been more than a half dozen sexual assaults reported on campus so far this semester.
Police say they encourage students who have been a victim of violence to contact the Violence Intervention and Prevention Center for confidential services, support and referrals at (859) 257-3574.
Students may report any incident of harassment or sexual assault as a member of the UK Community to the Title IX Coordinator at (859) 257-8927, or visit their website at http://www.uky.edu/eeo/.
