Settlement reached between Ky. AG’s Office and State Farm
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) — Attorney General Daniel Cameron on Wednesday announced his office and State Farm have reached an over $1 million settlement.
The agreement settled allegations that State Farm failed to adequately identify and disclose to some Kentucky customers uninsured and underinsured coverage available under their auto insurance policies, Cameron said.
As part of the settlement, Kentucky will receive $1,350,000 as reimbursement for the costs of its investigation.
In addition, State Farm will fix its notification policies, train staff on revised claim procedures and implement a database search tool to identify available coverages under household auto policies.
