BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A serial killer behind bars in Texas is now charged in connection to a cold case murder in Kentucky.
The Warren County Grand Jury indicted Samuel Little with one count of murder in the death of Linda Sue Boards, according to Kentucky State Police
Boards’ body was discovered May 15, 1981 on a farm in Smith Grove’s.
Little was arrested at a Louisville homeless shelter in 2012.
Investigators say Little confessed to 90 murders across the country.
The 78-year-old was sentenced to life in prison in 2012 for three murders in California.
He was transferred to Texas where he pleaded guilty to strangling a woman to death.
During interviews, investigators say Little confessed to killing several woman, including a woman in Northern Kentucky.
State Police say the FBI contacted them in September, saying the method Little used to kill three women in California matched the method used to kill Boards and that he could be connected to her death.
KSP investigators traveled to Texas to interview Little about Boards’ murder.
They say information obtained during the interview led to the case being presented to the grand jury and Little’s indictment.
