Seniors Got Talent showcase takes the stage in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The spotlight is on some of Kentucky’s most talented seniors as the 6th annual Seniors Got Talent showcase takes place Tuesday at the Lexington Opera House.

Seniors age 60 and older will perform on stage — singing, dancing, and playing instruments — all while competing for the $1,000 grand prize.

The event is hosted by the Morning Pointe Foundation, with proceeds supporting scholarships and caregiver programs. Past performers, including 70-year-old belly dancer Sandy Larson, have gone on to earn national recognition from this stage, showing that age is just a number.

Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster or the Central Bank Center box office. ABC 36 News Now anchors Doug and Lyssa High will emcee tonight’s event.
