Sen. Rand Paul & Mayor Jim Gray Make Big Push to GOTV before Election
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-Incumbent Senator Rand Paul and Lexington Mayor Jim Gray are making a big push campaigning across the state in the final days before the election.
After going at it head to head at their one and only televised debate on Kentucky Educational TV earlier this week, they’ve been out on the campaign trail shaking hands and speaking to voters.
Senator Rand Paul is covering 13 cities in only two days as part of his “Defend Kentucky” tour. He made five stops in Eastern Kentucky today. On Monday he will be back in Lexington again for an event at the Aviation Museum that starts at 9am. He will also make seven other stops Monday, hitting places like Louisville and Bowling Green.
Meanwhile Mayor Jim Gray spent yesterday and today in Louisville, Bowling Green, and Covington. Tomorrow he will hold a “Get Out The Vote” rally at 4pm in Richmond at the Madison County Fairgrounds Pavilion.
According to the last Babbage Cofounder Pulse Poll published on Monday Senator Paul has a 6.6 lead over Mayor Gray, which has been pretty consistent for the past six weeks.
But Senator Paul is up by more than double the amount. According to Western Kentucky University’s Big Red poll he’s up by sixteen points.
B sure to turn in to ABC 36 news on Tuesday for full coverage of all the local races.
