Second man arrested in connection to shooting at Southern Middle School

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police have arrested a second man involved in a shooting outside Southern Middle School last September.

Police arrested 32-year-old Randy Roberts on Thursday.

Police had previously arrested his alleged accomplice, Antonio Loyd, Jr.

According to police, back in September, Roberts and Loyd, Jr. kidnapped a woman and forced her to drive them to Southern Middle School.

That’s where police say the two men confronted a mutual acquaintance and opened fire.

Shortly after the shooting was reported, Antonio Loyd, Jr. showed up at the V.A. Medical Center on Cooper Drive with a gunshot wound.
