Second death in August 6 head-on motorcycle collision
WEST LIBERTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are reporting that a woman injured in an August 6 collision died Friday morning from her injuries.
46-year-old Janey Caskey was pronounced dead by the Cabell Co. Medical Examiner, according to Troopers.
Back on August 6, State police received a report of a head-on collision on KY 7 in Morgan Co. just before 3:30 p.m. Officers say a GMC Envoy was headed north when it crossed the center line and hit a motorcycle, carrying Caskey and 46-year-old Thomas Tufts. Tufts was pronounced dead at the scene by the Morgan Co. Coroner.
The GMC Envoy went into a ditch line and hit a telephone pole before stopping.
Both Caskey and the driver of the Envoy were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, WV.
The collision remains under investigation.
