Second Carjacking In Two Nights In Lexington

Two carjackings in two days in Lexington and police are trying to determine if they are related.

Lexington police said a man parked his car in the parking lot of a business at 1388 Alexandria Drive and was walking to a nearby apartment complex at around 1:30 a.m.  when he was approached by two men.

He said one of the men had a gun.

They demanded his keys, phone and cash.

They then took off in the victim’s silver Nissan Sentra.

Police said the description of the suspects is similar to that of two suspects in a carjacking Tuesday morning off Versailles Road.

The suspects in that case stole a PT Cruiser and forced the owner out at gunpoint at the Day’s Motel.

The car was recovered Tuesday afternoon.
