Second Bank Robbery In Three Days In Lexington
Lexington Police said a man wearing a hoodie with his face covered, walked into the Peoples Exchange Bank on East Main Street Friday afternoon, pulled out a black, semi-automatic pistol, demanded money from a teller, got it and ran out of the business.
No one was hurt.
The same bank was robbed by two men on April 30, 2014.
Friday’s heist was the second bank robbery in three days in Lexington.
On Wednesday, a man wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap walked into the First Security Bank on Sir Barton Way in Hamburg Pavilion, demanded money and got away, according to Lexington Police.
Investigators said that robber used a car that was carjacked from a Walmart parking lot in Winchester about two hours before the First Security robbery.
