LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – City leaders and community partners are celebrating the second anniversary of Lexington’s Mobile Market program — an initiative aimed at bringing fresh, affordable groceries directly to neighborhoods in need.

Mayor Linda Gorton will join representatives from God’s Pantry Food Bank, Kroger, and the City’s Office of Opportunity for the celebration.

The event begins at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Main Street Baptist Church Manor Apartments on Darby Creek Road.

The Mobile Market program has been praised for improving access to healthy food options across underserved areas of Lexington.

Those unable to attend in person can watch the event live on the City of Lexington’s YouTube channel.
