Louisiana-based search team joins search for missing Richmond mother

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ)- A nationally known search and rescue team is on its way to Kentucky to join in the search for a missing Richmond mother.

The Cajun Coast Search and Rescue Team says it will be in Lexington late Monday night and will hopefully start looking for Savannah Spurlock Tuesday.

Spurlock was last seen leaving “The Other Bar” in downtown Lexington at the beginning of the month.

The team is a specialized K-9 unit and have worked on cases all across the country.

The team just returned from Ennis, Texas where it was helping in the search for Cynthiana native Emily Wade.

Toney Wade, commander for the search team, says him along with two others, and three K-9 dogs will help in the search.
