UPDATE: Missing teen returns home

EAST BERNSTADT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a teen that was reported missing earlier this week has been found and is safe.

15-year-old Jerrod Gilbert was reported missing after last being seen at his home near East Bernstadt at around 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

No word on where he was found.

He is reported to be in good condition.

Search on for suspected runaway in Laurel County

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspected runaway.

Deputies say 15-year old Jerrod Gilbert was last seen at his home on Old Richmond Road near East Bernstadt around 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.

He has brown hair, worn above his ears, 6’0″ tall, 150-pounds with blue eyes, a medium build and light complexion.

When last seen, he was wearing blue jeans and a navy blue shirt, according to investigators.

Anyone with information on Gilbert’s whereabouts is asked to call the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office at 606-864-6600 or 606-878-7000. Information will be kept strictly confidential, according to deputies.
