Search for suspects forces lockdown at Toyota
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say everything is back to normal after the Georgetown Toyota Plant was briefly put on lockdown Thursday.
They say suspects led police on a car chase that started in Grant County and went through Scott County. Officer laid down spike strips, stopping the car, and the suspects got out and ran out .
Authorities shutdown one lane of I75 at mile marker 126 just after 11 p.m. Wednesday to begin their search.
Police say the suspects were believed to be hiding at the Toyota plant , which led to the lockdown.
Police say two suspects were arrested – one at the Pilot Truck Stop near Cherry Blossom Way in Georgetown at around 4 a.m.
