Arrest made in Lexington teen death
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police have arrested a man for the murder of a Lexington teen.
18-year-old Jamaal Gossett was shot to death on Kent Drive on November 22. Police found Gossett dead in the driver’s seat of an SUV. They say he was shot in the head. The Lexington Police arrested Terry L. Farrell on Thursday.
Those who knew Gossett say he was a leader, and a hard worker who had a bright future.
“Jamaal was a very good student,” says Jennifer Burton, a teacher at Bryan Station High School. “He was a very good person, he was kind to people, he was what we would call a dedicated defender and he was always doing the right thing.”
Gossett worked at the Penn Station East Coast Subs on North Broadway for about two years. The manager plans to set up a donation box in his memory.
Farrell is charged with murder and robbery 1st.
