According to Sheriff Tony Hampton, one of them is 18-year-old Taylor Putty, of Georgetown. Hampton says the other is a 17-year-old whose name won’t be released.

Hampton also says the vehicle which struck 49-year-old Donald Savage has been located and is now considered evidence.

Officers say it happened just after 12:00 a.m. on Sabin Drive in Georgetown, near Cincinnati Pike.

Savage was reportedly trying to flag the truck down when he was hit.  He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Neighbors in the area say they often try to stop vehicles from driving up and down their roadway because it’s narrow and crowded. They say an empty cul-de-sac in the end of the neighborhood is a destination for illegal activity. It’s something the sheriff’s office acknowledges and try to thwart.
